What this is not
This will NOT be a retreat with an emphasis on collective and group process. The facilitators will hold the process and the structure and there will be options for socialising around meals and in the evenings, should you desire them. However, Creative Ashram is designed as a place away for you and your unique creative process. If you need to be deep in your solo process, you should. If you are craving another mind to jam with, it will be there.
How to get the most out of your Creative Ashram:
You are creative – you are the conduit – the source - the inspiration – and the most important tool you have.
At Creative Ashram, we strive to minimise distractions and enhance focus - strip back the layers and let the ideas flourish.
Sometimes our tools and infinite resources can be distracting. Think about your creative station – your medium and what resources you would like to work with. Wifi is limited and will not be available during Creative Study Halls. Plan and be selective on what you bring.
Arrive as rested as you can be. Napping will be welcomed.
Come with an open heart and open mind.

Come for the whole day or drop in for an hour. If you’re craving some time to think about these ideas, discuss them with others or you just want to nourish your imagination and body then join us!
Your Sunday could start with some yoga and meditation over at Flow and end chatting with good company, pizzas and pints at the Sunflower pub. The makings of a great Sunday in our book!
Meditation for Melters : The Back to School Edition.

Creativity and Leadership
1:45 – 3:00 @ Flow Studio with Courtnae and Katie
Leadership is about vision and values. It is about knowing what you stand for and aspire towards. Engaging in these questions requires some contemplating as well as inspired action; both being and doing. We will encourage you to put in place some routines that set up your creative dreams to actually come to life. How do you want to feel? What are you passionate about? And how can you better align your time and vision?
Creativity and Action
3:30 - 4:45@ Sunflower with Katie and Guests
How can you creatively use your voice, express yourself and make meaningful work about the topics and issues you are passionate about?
Whether you already consider yourself to be an activist or if you are just working out what you want to say, join us for an open panel discussion with some incredible creative activists and artists who are expressing themselves through their creativity and action. Hear about their exciting projects and creations and learn how to use your voice and creativity to create and influence change.
Creative Venting, Pizza and Pints
5:00 - 7:00 @ Sunflower
Vent is about getting real and honest. We will discuss and laugh about the challenges of creativity and working (or trying to work) in the creative industries. Feeling a bit frustrated? Tired of working all the time and feeling like you have very little to show for it? No money? No time? No one cares?
Yes, we do.
We invite you for some pizza and pints and a good old moan. Leave
your judgement at the door - listening is essential and talking is encouraged. The night will be started by some seasoned, expert moaners before we open the floor to hear any of your challenges and frustrations. Perhaps we can even help each other to find solutions to our woes?
£5 per session or £10 for full day
